# Geometric places of the plane

A **geometric place**, or** locus**, is a set of points in the plane that verify a property.

For example, the **perpendicular bisector of a segment** is the geometric place of all points that are equidistant of its extremes.

Example: find the equation of the perpendicular bisector of the segment AB, if A(1,1) and B(3,-2)

**Exercise**: find the equation of the perpendicular bisector of the segment AB, if A(3,-3) and B(8,-3)

Solution: x-11/2 = 0
