# Law of sines

*LAW OF SINES*: The lengths of the sides of a triangle are proportional to the sines of their opposite angles:

Example: c = 5 cm, b = 7 cm, B= 30^{o}. Calculate C.

Exercise: Calculate *a*, knowing that *b* = 7.5 cm, *A* = 68^{o} and *B* = 87^{o}.

Solution: a = 6.96 cm
