# Law of cosines

Example: a = 6,8 cm, b = 5,3 cm, C= 57^{o}. Calculate c.

Area of a triangle:

**Exercises:**

1.- Two of the sides of a triangle measure 3 and 5 cm, respectively, and they form an angle of 40^{o}. Calculate the other side.

2.- The sides of a triangle measure 3, 5 and 6 metres, respectively. Calculate the three angles.

Solutions: 1) a = 3.3 cm; 2) A = 29.9^{o}, B = 56.3^{o} and C = 93.8^{o}.
